this semester I had to write an essay on a girl by the name of Marie Angelique Memmie Le Blanc. She was a feral child, a Native American captured, enslaved, and brought to the Caribbean, before being brought to France. There, she escaped, and is said to have lived in the wilderness on her own for about 10 years.
the essay I wrote on her was about the depiction of gender in one of the text documents (the only text document from her time?) about her, and honestly I still have a lot I want to talk about, so I'll update this page sometime in the future with some of the stuff I've written.
